Description:
Lead the Team. Raise the Bar. Make a Real Difference.
At Sprague, the Operations Manager is foundational to branch operations, and this opening represents an exciting opportunity to elevate and build upon the successes of our Marysville team.
This is not a "lead technician" position. This is a people-first leadership role for someone who wants to coach, mentor, and develop a team of Route Managers while driving consistency, quality, and performance across operations.
If you're energized by developing others, reinforcing standards, and being visibly present with your team every day, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do
The Operations Manager is the day-to-day operational leader for our technician team. You'll partner closely with the Branch Manager to lead a high performing group of commercial pest control technicians while strengthening culture, accountability, and service quality.
You'll lead Route Managers through coaching, accountability, and hands-on operational support - helping the team run smoothly, take ownership, and consistently deliver excellent service.
In this role, you will:
Lead & Develop Your Team

- Coach, mentor, and develop technicians, with a focus on technical excellence, professionalism, and leadership readiness.
- Identify high-potential employees and actively support certification attainment, skill development, and career progression.
- Help technicians successfully transition from "learning the work" to "teaching others".
- Foster a culture of accountability, positivity, and continuous improvement.
Drive Operational Excellence, Quality, and Compliance
- Own daily operational execution, including route efficiency, coverage planning, and service quality.
- Ensure all services meet Sprague standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify operational challenges and implement solutions without waiting for direction.
- Manage logistics and workflow to keep the operation running smoothly - even when plans change.
- Partner closely with the District Manager to improve productivity, throughput, and consistency.
Champion Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Sprague safety standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coach technicians on proper handling, storage, and disposal of pesticides and equipment.
- Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections to maintain safety and readiness.
Collaborate & Communicate
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to build route density and identify new client opportunities.
- Communicate clearly, positively, and consistently with technicians, peers, and leadership.
- Address challenges directly while maintaining trust and morale.
- Collaborate across teams to support branch goals and long-term growth.
