Operations Financial Analyst

Pure Power is looking for an Operations Financial Analyst to assist our Operations Controller with the reporting and support provided to the engineering teams and senior management of the company. In this role, you will be required to produce various financial operations reports, oversee several critical processes, assist with the compilation of ad-hoc report requests, assist with database management and data review. Additionally, the ideal candidate will support staff with questions related to timesheets and expense reports, in our multiple offices.


To succeed as an operation's financial analyst professional, the ideal candidate must have strong Excel skills, understand, and enjoy turning data into meaningful reports with excellent communication. The candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and motivated.

Responsibilities


This position reports to and works closely with the Operations Controller to assist with ad-hoc report requests from the engineering and operations teams and is available to respond to employees' questions about timesheets, expense reports, and other financial policies of the company. This employee is expected to assist and support all levels within the company. Additional tasks include:

  • Provide support preparing deliverables and presentations to engineering project managers.
  • Assist with the weekly coordination of timesheet approvals and postings.
  • Manage the monthly expense report submission process.
  • Support the monthly steps to request updates to the Project Database.
  • Documenting new reports and SOP's.
  • Train existing staff and incoming hires on the timesheet and expense processes.
  • Provide recommendations on process and reporting improvements.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


  • 0-1 years of experience in a financial analysis position.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas (x/v lookups, concatenate, sum if/ifs), ability to write macros is a plus.
  • Experience with other Office applications, Adobe, Concur, and Dynamics 365 experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • High level of efficiency and accountability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Ability to build relationships with employees, including those in leadership roles.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business analytics, business administration or similar field.

Location

This position will be based out of our exciting downtown Hoboken, NJ Headquarters with the flexibility to work a hybrid in-office and remotely weekly schedule. We are next to public transportation options from NYC and Northern NJ. We also provide a parking spot for the days when an employee wishes to drive to the office and for those that utilize public transportation, we will cover the costs associated with traveling to and from the office.


Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $50,000-60,000 Annually
