Multifamily Investment Associate

Job Description/About Us
Levco Management is a quickly growing fully-integrated apartment owner, operator, and construction firm based in Richmond, VA. The firm has been one of the most active acquirors and renovators of apartment communities in the Mid-Atlantic region over the last 5 years. Levco is currently hiring an Investment Associate to be located out of its corporate office in Richmond. This position will be responsible for helping execute the firm's efforts with asset management, new acquisitions, and reporting on its existing investment portfolio. The Investment Associate will report to the Managing Partner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years institutional level multifamily underwriting and asset management experience, direct experience in acquisitions and asset management in the Mid-Atlantic region preferred.
- Expert level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) with strong financial modeling experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles and ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
- Ability to independently multi-task, schedule and meet deadlines, articulate ideas, selfstart projects, research unknowns, and produce institutional quality business writing and work product in a fast-paced environment.
- BA or BS in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA/Graduate Degree preferred or commensurate experience.
Responsibilities
- Closely monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio properties and help lead asset management activities working closely with the property management and construction teams.
- Benchmark actual performance of portfolio properties against original acquisition projections, and work with the property management and construction teams to meet original underwriting and annual budget goals.
- Evaluate, underwrite, and analyze multifamily acquisitions, dispositions, equity capitalizations, and debt financing opportunities.
- Participate in the due diligence and closing process for company transactions.
- Communicate information to internal and external audiences through direct communications and written presentations.
- Participate and provide support in the company's investment, construction, and operational team meetings and develop applicable materials for both internal and external uses.
- Work closely with the construction team for development of renovation scopes, pricing assumptions, and overseeing construction scheduling, funding, and work progress.
- Generate investor and lender reporting, and maintain portfolio track record and performance data.
- Assist with maintaining the company's Excel models, redIQ database, due diligence checklists, and market research.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investment sales brokers, current and potential equity partners, lenders, and other industry participants.
- Requires day travel and the occasional overnight travel as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
