 The Opportunity: 
  The Maintenance Technician maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, and pneumatic systems and components, welding and machining a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. 
  Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing in our corrugated manufacturing plant. 
  - 3rd shift (11p-7a) Will need to be able to train 1st week 9a-3p
  - Days: Mon-Fri (Saturday OT)
  - Pay: $26.33 - $39.24 (plus shift differential)

  - Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to numeric controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
  - Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
  - Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown in line with OSHA requirements.
  - Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
  - Informs appropriate management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
  - Performs preventative maintenance functions as directed. Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  - Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
  - Assists and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees.
  - Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  Requirements: 
  - The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform this job.
  - Education and Experience Requirements: High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  - Prefer Corrugate experience
  
  What you need to succeed: 
  Understanding and demonstrating the behavior that the safety of yourself and other coworkers is paramount and is the priority here at WestRock. 
  - Must have been trained in basic electrical and mechanical safety.
  - Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical component repair.
  - Must be able to read and draw schematics.
  - Proven experience in the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
  - A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  - Must have intermediate computer skills.
  - High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required. Ability to climb in/on overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.
  - Must be able to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  - Ability to lift, push or pull, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel through the entire shift.
  - Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  - Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  - Demonstrate positive interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  - Must be able to perform all the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  - Ability and willingness to work any shift.
