Mental Health Tech- Crisis Stabilization Unit

Responsibilities for Mental Health Tech:

  • Assist clinical team in the general activities of the program.
  • Orient new individuals into the program by reviewing the schedule and ensuring their needs are met, when appropriate
  • Provide direct care and supervision to individuals receiving services.
  • Facilitate recreational activities, including board games, movies, cards, etc.
  • Help ensure a safe living environment for all residents, to include cleaning and other housekeeping duties as requested.
  • Assist with management of unstructured time.
  • Help enforce program schedule and program rules.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records on assigned individuals, such as behavior reports.
  • Supervise and assist residents with daily living skills as needed.
  • Wash linens and fill all hygiene boxes.
  • Ensure orientation packets are available for all new individuals coming in for treatment.
  • Assist staff in the admission process
  • Fill in for other staff as needed and assigned by the Coordinator.
  • Man facility phone service and handle referral of all emergency calls to appropriate Communicare crisis staff.
  • Provide administrative assistance when requested such as scanning documents and filing them into the chart in the EHR, making copies, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.




Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Acceptable criminal background check.
