Medical Staff Services Director

This historic and respected hospital in New Mexico is searching for an experienced Director to lead Medical Staff Services. Join a dedicated team of Physicians, Providers, and Administrators across a Regional Healthcare System.

Reporting to Chief Executive Officer / Administrator, and working in close coordination with the Regional Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Medical Staff Services will take on a role that's critical to the mission and compliance of this community hospital. Supported by a small team of CPCS Credentialing Specialists and CPMSM Medical Staff Coordinators, the Director will oversee a wide range of administrative operations.

The Medical Staff Services Director will have the chance to play a central role in developing and implementing strategy and goals for the Department. This person will work closely with Medical Leadership, Executive Leadership, and Quality Management at the regional and local level to coordinate programs and initiatives that support the mission of this organization. Additionally, the Director of Medical Staff Services will administer the facility's credentialing program, ensuring that the physicians, providers, and staff are all in compliance.

Situated in New Mexico, this trusted medical center acts as one of the primary acuity hubs for a county in any direction, helping trauma patients reach the right services safely. In some cases, that care will rest with the Medical Staff Services Director, in other cases the patient will move along to the proper level of care. Because this hub is so important, this hospital has enacted multiple programs meant to triage incoming patients more successfully and improve utilization and bedding times in its busy Emergency Department.
