Are you a seasoned professional in the engineering industry with a knack for business development and sales in the freight forwarding or logistics world? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Permanent Commercial Development and Sales position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in driving our company's growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans, identifying and securing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
2. Identifying and targeting new business opportunities to diversify our client portfolio and increase revenue.
3. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
4. Negotiating contracts and closing agreements to maximize profits.
5. Collaborating with internal teams to align sales strategies and techniques with company objectives.
6. Providing accurate sales forecasts and reporting on sales performance and market trends to senior management.
7. Keeping abreast of industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify opportunities and key issues.
8. Participating in professional industry networks and events to increase company visibility and promote our brand.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development in a freight forwarding or logistics company.
2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
4. Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office.
5. Strong understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.
6. Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
7. Ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
8. High-level analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and make strategic decisions.
9. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA would be an added advantage.
