We are seeking a proactive and results-driven individual with strong leadership capabilities to inspire and guide a team towards achieving company goals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent decision-making skills, a commitment to fostering collaboration, and the ability to motivate and develop others for continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Handling:
    • Safely and efficiently transport materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility.
    • Load, unload, and organize materials and products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling, as necessary.
    • Ensure all materials are properly labeled, stored, and tracked to support production schedules.
  2. Inventory Management:
    • Assist with inventory control by conducting regular counts and ensuring all items are properly documented.
    • Collaborate with Production Control to restock materials and ensure production schedules are met.
  3. Safety and Compliance:
    • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling materials and operating machinery.
    • Report any unsafe conditions or accidents immediately to the supervisor.
  4. Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with production control and warehouse teams to ensure material availability for ongoing projects.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors, production staff, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
    • Assist in troubleshooting any material shortages or operational issues that may arise during production.
  5. Additional Duties:
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the production control supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma. College degree preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Skills & Certifications:
    • Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
    • Knowledge of inventory management and material handling procedures.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, including bending, lifting, and moving items up to 50 pounds.
    • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
    • Forklift certification is preferred, but training can be provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and spider cranes.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and light conditions.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing facility with exposure to typical manufacturing hazards.
  • PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots are required.
  • Some overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production demands.
