General Job Description

Dogwood Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Master Planner Scheduler to lead the development and execution of company-wide project and production schedules. This is a critical role responsible for coordinating master scheduling, capacity planning, and production prioritization across two manufacturing facilities. The Master Planner Scheduler will work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Project Management teams to align resources with demand and ensure on-time delivery. This role will also drive the use of the system scheduling module to enhance planning visibility and coordination that is essential to Dogwood's ongoing growth and success.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a master schedule for all Dogwood projects
  • Manage project-level schedules that integrate timelines from Engineering, Procurement, and Production
  • Lead capacity planning efforts across labor, material, and equipment to identify and address constraints
  • Work closely with Project Managers to validate customer requirements, lead times and delivery dates
  • Coordinate with Design/Detailing and Procurement to ensure drawings and materials are released in alignment with schedule requirements
  • Own the system scheduling module implementation and continuous usage improvement
  • Collaborate with Production Managers at Sedro-Woolley and Everett factories to align daily/weekly priorities and help facilitate bottleneck resolution
  • Analyze actual vs. planned performance to identify variances and drive corrective actions
  • Conduct scenario planning and schedule simulations to support leadership decision-making
  • Communicate schedule status, risks, and changes to stakeholders with clarity and urgency
  • Facilitate cross-departmental planning meetings to ensure alignment on project priorities
  • Help institutionalize formal project kickoffs and production gating processes
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or project scheduling roles in manufacturing or construction
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, resource allocation, and production workflows
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, with demonstrated ability to build, manage, and analyze complex project schedules
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple departments and facilities
  • Proficiency in Gantt charting, schedule simulation, and scenario planning
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate complex schedules into clear, actionable plans for cross-functional teams
  • Experience implementing new planning systems or modules is a plus
  • Experience working in an ERP/MRP system is a plus

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
This position requires light physical activity in an office environment. To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly seated at a computer desk with the option to stand, is utilizing a phone frequently and participating in meetings with colleagues. There are steps in the office.


Compensation

$90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location

This is an onsite position at the Dogwood Everett Factory at th Ave NE, Everett, WA 98201. Travel to Dogwood's Bothell Corporate office or Sedro-Woolley Factory office, as needed.
