Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in Denver, Oakland, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. is $220,000 to $275,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Associates are eligible for performance and client development bonuses.
Job Details
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex regulatory matters within the transportation, cargo, and logistics industries. Successful candidates will demonstrate a proven ability to work with various supply chain participants, including shippers, motor carriers, rail companies, and ocean vessels. Experience in maritime regulatory compliance, licensing requirements, and working with the Federal Maritime Commission is required. A deep understanding of the legal and regulatory challenges specific to the transportation and logistics sectors is essential.
The role involves working primarily with attorneys focused on the Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation sectors.
Qualified candidates must possess a strong academic record, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team, superior judgment, the capability to manage multiple projects efficiently, and the ability to clearly articulate legal strategies and recommendations. Candidates should have an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office location they are applying for or commit to obtaining one promptly.
