Manufacturing Technician


Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in Manufacturing Sustainability for a Manufacturing Technician.

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician
Location: New Brighton, MN (100% onsite)
Pay: $28/hour
Duration: Contract (potential to convert to perm)

The Manufacturing Technician will lead production support and process improvement within all value streams of the New Brighton, MN manufacturing plant. The Manufacturing Technician will apply professional engineering techniques to manufacturing processes; driving standardization and continual improvement of First Time Yield and Throughput.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
??? Develop, evaluate, and implement Root Cause & Counter Measures (RCCM) for process issues
??? Be responsible for maintaining duties involved with PCO, NMR, IPPAP, CAR databases as well as quoting for engineering
??? Run/assist in first part prototype machining to ensure all processes produce a quality product that is completed per project requirements
??? Confer with operations and engineering staff concerning product design (DFMA) and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
??? Confer with vendors to determine specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts
??? Evaluate manufactured products according to specifications and quality standards
??? Estimate production times, staffing requirements and related costs to provide information for management decisions
??? Utilize project management skills to ensure on-time, on-budget completion of assigned counter-measures
??? Apply lean methods to create continuous flow, produce to takt, minimize work area, reduce changeover time and error-proof processes
??? Support senior manufacturing engineer in New Product Development activities and Product/Process Qualification
??? Make recommendations for capital equipment that will improve throughput, reduce setup, and remove labor content
??? When necessary, interact and brainstorm with engineering teams
??? Perform additional responsibilities/duties as required
Requirements:
??? Have 5 or more years of related experience in Injection Molding or equivalent combination of education and experience.
??? Must have experience with SAP
??? Have earned an Associates' degree (A.A.S.) from a technical school,
??? Be able to understand and read blueprints.
???Experience with equipment such as baggers, presses and automation machines.
???Experience with Lean Process
??? Have proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel specifically)
??? Ideally have training and experience in the following areas: Injection Molding, Assembly (Manual and Automation), Process Control, Machining (Manual & CNC)
??? Be a fact-based problem solver and have the ability to strategically analyze situations and problems
??? Be innovative, take initiative, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
