Maintenance Technician

Our client, an industry leader in Automotive, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

Location:Fremont, California

Pay Range: $36 - 40/hr., based on experience

What's the Job?

  • Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and production requests promptly to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and communicate corrective actions
  • Improve preventive maintenance documentation and schedules under supervision
  • Perform major repairs and rebuilds of manufacturing equipment, including some weekend and holiday work
  • Utilize manufacturing systems such as MES, spares inventory, and issue tracking tools effectively

What's Needed?

  • At least 3 years of experience maintaining industrial equipment and automation systems
  • Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC systems; Fanuc robot experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with any area of electrical/electronics, mechanical/machining, or automation/PLC/robotics
  • Ability to troubleshoot automation, conveyance, electromechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
