Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and troubleshooting of various building systems. As a generalist, you should have experience and knowledge in a range of utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and perform general maintenance tasks on building systems to ensure their efficient and safe operation.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in utility systems, identifying root causes and implementing necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair tasks with external vendors and contractors when needed.
  • Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for system maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, and resolve these issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and system calibrations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory management.
  • Stay updated with the latest building codes and regulations related to utility systems maintenance.
  • Actively participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in general building systems maintenance.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in various utility systems.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Certification in specific building systems or trades is a plus.
