We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and troubleshooting of various building systems. As a generalist, you should have experience and knowledge in a range of utility systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and perform general maintenance tasks on building systems to ensure their efficient and safe operation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in utility systems, identifying root causes and implementing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair tasks with external vendors and contractors when needed.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for system maintenance and repairs.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, and resolve these issues in a timely manner.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes, lubrication, and system calibrations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory management.
- Stay updated with the latest building codes and regulations related to utility systems maintenance.
- Actively participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certification preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general building systems maintenance.
- Broad knowledge and experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues in various utility systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Certification in specific building systems or trades is a plus.
