Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; ability to read blueprints, work orders, and precision measurements; proficient mechanical aptitude; ability to safely operate CNC and manual lathe equipment; working knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures; basic PC skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills; visual and auditory acuity; ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, climb, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of machining experience, preferably with CNC and/or lathe operations, is normally required.

General Responsibilities

Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the machining function within the manufacturing department, including operating CNC and/or lathe equipment; coordinating work within the department, as well as with other departments; reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; and responding to inquiries or requests for information.

Essential Duties

Performs a variety of duties to support the CNC/lathe machining function as follows:

Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathe equipment and use band saws to cut metal to required size.

Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.

Abides by the current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the work place.

Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed and provides data to appropriate personnel.

Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.

First Shift Mon-Friday OR Weekend Shift 5 AM Friday 3 12-hour shifts.

Compensation details: 26-30 Hourly Wage
