Machinist

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be an integral part of the Industrial department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Clare, MI

Pay Range: Based on experience

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate machine equipment including CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading, and lathes.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists to support manufacturing processes.
• Utilize JD Edwards, work order routings/parts lists, and paperwork to complete jobs accurately.
• Read, interpret, and utilize blueprints to ensure precise machining.
• Perform quality checks, deburr parts, and verify work with machinist measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience or training in machining.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measurement tools.
• Ability to program CNC equipment utilizing G&M codes and conversational programming languages.
• Strong commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
