Position Summary: Responsible for the efficient operation and primary maintenance of the machine in which they are assigned. Machines which require operators include but are not limited to: edgebander, beam saw/horizontal panel saw, dowel inserter, hinge inserter, CNC router and v-groover. Machine operators should be meticulous by nature, able to multi-task and have the ability to foresee issues and provide solutions before they happen.
Required education and experience: - High School Degree or GED
- Minimum of one year's employment with Adams Group in the manufacturing setting or verifiable equivalent experience with another millwork company
- Mechanically inclined
- Knowledge of calipers
- Basic hand tool knowledge and experience
- Must be able to read, interpret, and fully understand blueprints, drawings and cut lists
- Understands the cabinet design to install hardware
- Strong ability to be self-motivated to ensure all work is completed quickly and timely
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work at a fast pace
Essential functions: - Ensure machine is properly set up and producing the quality of parts expected
- Maintain all materials needed to successfully operate machine
- Perform routine and periodic maintenance
- Ability to reasonably diagnose and articulate issues with machine
- Ability to use the computer as trained for specific machines
- Perform milling, turning, taping and all saw operations
- Report all abnormalities affecting the quality of parts or overall machine operation
- Assists in keeping the plant clean

- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
