The M achine O perator is responsible for operating machinery in a manufacturing environment to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
- Assist with f inish ed p roduct s by using banders to bundle finished products .
- Assist with b reak p ress operations.
- Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts for efficient material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required .
REQUIREMENTS: - E x perience in a manu facturi ng se tting pref erred .
- Ability to obtain valid crane and forklift certification s .
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: - Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Frequent l ifting or moving objects up to 5 0 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Constantly thinking and processing information.
- Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: - Manufacturing floor with machinery.
- Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.
- Use of personal protection equipment is required
