Machine Operator 2nd shift

As a Machine Operator at Allfasteners, you will set up, operate, and maintain various manufacturing machines that produce precise fastener components. You'll work closely with production and quality teams to meet stringent specifications and productivity targets while ensuring safety and operational excellence. Core Competencies:
  • Technical Skills:
  • Class C:
  • Ability to competently set up and operate 1-2 simple machines efficiently: Band saws, ironworkers, drill press, plate roller, and bending machines.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Class B:
  • Class A skills, plus additional expertise and at least 6 six months experience in operating 3 or more simple machines, or at least one complex machine.
  • Class A:
  • Class B & C skills, plus additional expertise and at least 6 months experience in operating and troubleshooting 3 or more complex machines.
  • Safety Awareness:
  • Adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to identify and address potential safety hazards.
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Attention to Detail:
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure product quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and specifications.
  • Physical Fitness:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Physical stamina required for repetitive tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate assigned machinery according to established procedures.
  • Ensure the quality of products by inspecting work in progress and finished goods.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use overhead cranes and forklifts to handle materials and equipment safely.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.


Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
