We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Solo Driver to join our team at Sample Trucking, a FedEx Contractor. This position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and excellent customer service while transporting goods to designated locations.
Location: Running out of the terminal at 1101 E Cleveland St., Hutchins, TX 75141
Duties:
- Safely operate assigned vehicles while ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform route driving to deliver freight efficiently and on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transit.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety protocols and vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 1 year of verifiable CDL experience.
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and Doubles/Triples endorsements is required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a required background check, drug screening, and have a current DOT physical.
-Fast pace work environment, must be adaptable.
Benefits:
- Weekly pay on Fridays.
- Starting pay is $23 per hour, with the ability to increase to $24 per hour depending upon 90 day performance review.
- Overtime pay is available after 40 hours.
- Average of 250-300 miles driven per day.
- Driver referral bonuses, vacation days, paid holidays, accrued PTO, quarterly safety bonuses, and insurance reimbursement are offered.
- All automatic trucks are Volvo Day Cabs.
Available Schedules:
We have 10-hour shifts available:
- Monday to Friday: 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Monday to Friday: 3:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Tuesday to Saturday: 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- Sunday to Thursday: 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM
