TransForce is seeking a CDL A Driver to support local operations based in Alton, IA. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.
CDL A Driver Details
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, some Saturdays
- Start Time: 12:00noon, 2:00pm, or 4:00pm, 8 - 10 hours per day
- Pay: $28.07 Per hour + OT after 40
- Route Type: Local, home daily
- Equipment: Manual trucks - NO AUTO RESTRICTION
- Handling: No touch, Drop & Hook
CDL A Driver Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Class A license
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
- Experience with truck hydraulics a plus.
- Must be able to handle outside elements.
CDL A Driver Responsibilities:
- Driver is responsible for operation of a truck to collect materials on a daily route and returning to the Alton facility.
- Must be able to handle outside elements, summer heat and winter cold.
- Collects and inspects raw material at time of pick up for any foreign or hazardous material at customer location.
- Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and customers.
- Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work weekends and/or Overtime as need.
