Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Aircraft Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley, MO. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless integration of various aircraft systems and components, contributing to the overall performance, safety, and reliability of our aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in aerospace engineering, with a focus on systems integration, and will demonstrate leadership capabilities to guide a team of engineers in delivering innovative solutions.
Position Responsibilities
Lead the integration of aircraft systems, including avionics, propulsion, and structural components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and testing, to develop integration strategies and resolve technical challenges
Conduct system-level analysis and simulations to validate integration performance and identify potential issues early in the development process
Oversee the development and execution of test plans, ensuring thorough verification and validation of integrated systems
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence within the team
Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders, including management and regulatory authorities
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to aircraft systems integration
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems integration or related engineering roles
Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing complex projects
Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, including avionics, flight control systems, and propulsion
Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, or similar)
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.; Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of experience in aircraft integration, with a focus on commercial or military aircraft
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
Experience with project management tools and methodologies

Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
