The Opportunity
The Bank Risk Management Risk Insights team is looking for a self-motivated Lead Risk Analyst with a strong work ethic to provide risk insights for senior management and Board reporting. The ideal candidate will bring have experience in risk identification, risk appetite, risk and control self-assessment, and top and emerging risks, as well as a strong background in analyzing data and interpreting results to produce forward looking insights.
As a dedicated Risk Analyst Lead, you will lead risk management oversight for a line of business or staff agency in key risk identification, measurement, monitoring, control, and reporting. Drives the understanding and management of risk through appropriate practices and processes. Takes ownership of assessing and overseeing business exposures including key and emerging risks. Leads activities that monitor the risk and control environment and provide effective challenge to internal and external stakeholders to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels. Escalates and reports risks to the appropriate governance bodies. Leads and executes complex initiatives and cross functional teams within the Chief Risk Office, across multiple bank business functions, and potentially across the Enterprise that drive successful problem resolution. Leverages broad enterprise knowledge and/or expert knowledge of core business discipline(s), products, and processes.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What sets you apart:Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $143,320 - $273,930.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
