Lead Mechanical Engineer - Thermal

Our client, a global technology and engineering company, is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer - Thermal to join their team. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer - Thermal, you will be part of the Mechanical Engineering department supporting the Thermal and Fluidics team. The ideal candidate will have innovative thinking, critical problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer - Thermal

Location: Tarrytown, NY

Pay Range: $59.88/hr

What's the Job?

• Drive engineering changes and ensure designs meet quality procedures.

• Schedule and allocate resources across approved projects for next-generation product development.

• Lead technical problem-solving and root cause analysis in thermal and environmental management.

• Coordinate activities across complex sub-system teams, including electrical, software, firmware, and reliability.

• Lead continuous improvement, design optimization efforts, and create procedural synergies across multiple sites.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• 5-10+ years of experience in designing and developing complex instrumentation; experience in medical devices preferred.

• Expertise in thermal management, environmental engineering, and thermal hardware (thermoelectric devices, heaters, cooled compartments, sensors).

• Proficiency in 3D CAD (NX preferred), PLM systems, and knowledge of manufacturing methods (plastic injection molding, sheet metal, machining, etc.).

• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills; experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies a plus.
