Summary/Objective:
The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for supporting and coordinating day-to-day stocking, fulfillment, and inventory operations for the Denver location. This role ensures inventory accuracy, efficient storage practices, and timely order fulfillment while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. The Inventory Control Lead will work closely with warehouse teams to optimize workflows and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions:
Inventory Control & Warehouse Organization:
- Oversee product put-away operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and proper bin locations.
- Coordinate bin location maintenance.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate warehouse projects related to inventory management.
- Assist in Inventory Item maintenance.
- Coordinate VRMA (vendor return material authorization) management, including product picking, packing, dimension documentation, and shipping quotes.
- Assist in creating and managing a daily clean up and organizational plan based on the overall warehouse agenda.
- Ensure warehouse maintenance and aisle organization align with safety and operational standards.
- Facilitate end-of-day reporting related to inventory operations and warehouse organization.
Stocking, Order Pull, & eCommerce Fulfillment:
- Responsible for day-to-day Denver Branch order pull operations, including inbound product stocking and outbound order staging, to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient sales order fulfillment.
- Coordinate eCommerce fulfillment operations, ensuring efficiency and order accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with sales order fulfillment best practices, verifying correct quantities and packaging standards.
- Troubleshoot sales order and/or inventory discrepancies and coordinate with relevant departments to promptly resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to address order fulfillment challenges and assist in driving process improvements.
Supervision & Team Leadership:
- Coordinate and mentor all general warehouse employees involved in stocking, order pull, and eCommerce fulfillment and ensure all processes and procedures are being followed efficiently.
- Conduct daily team huddles to review productivity, address challenges, and provide ongoing mentorship and training.
- Implement and uphold process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and 5S.
- Ensure all employees adhere to Tool Country's policies, safety guidelines, and warehouse procedures.
- Assist in evaluating and training employees to enhance skills and warehouse efficiencies.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Enforce safety procedures and maintain compliance with OSHA standards.
Work Environment:
- Standing and walking intermittently throughout the day.
- Frequent exposure to warehouse operations, including noise, large trucks, and forklifts.
- Regular lifting of up to 50-75 pounds.
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
- Exposure to varying temperatures in a warehouse environment.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in inventory control and warehouse management are strongly preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) preferred.
- Forklift training experience preferred.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse environment strongly preferred.
