Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and ventilation equipment.
- Support the lead technician in measuring, cutting, and installing ductwork according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during installations to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Learn to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams related to HVAC installations.
- Help in the proper setup and use of tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installations.
- Participate in the testing of HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local codes.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving installation issues under the supervision of a senior technician.
- Load and unload materials and equipment for HVAC installation projects.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in HVAC installation techniques.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Document and report any installation challenges or discrepancies to the lead technician.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Compensation details: 17-19 Hourly Wage
