Industrial Facility Building Operator

The Industrial Facility Building Operator is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, and monitoring of critical infrastructure systems within a facility, ensuring optimal performance and uptime. This role focuses on maintaining critical systems like power, cooling, and life safety, often within data centers, hospitals, or other facilities with high-reliability requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating and Monitoring Equipment: Controlling and monitoring a variety of automated critical systems used in the assembly and manufacturing of high-precision semiconductor components.

  • Maintaining Cleanroom Environment: Ensuring the extremely clean and controlled environment of the cleanroom is maintained to prevent contamination of the delicate semiconductor wafers. This includes following strict gowning procedures and maintaining cleanliness standards for equipment and the surrounding area.

  • Inspecting and Testing Products: Conducting inspections to verify product quality against strict tolerances and specifications, often using precision measuring and testing equipment.

  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identifying and addressing equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs, performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, and potentially conducting minor repair tasks.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of production data, process conditions, equipment status, and maintenance activities.

  • Collaboration: Working effectively with engineers, quality assurance teams, and other staff to implement process improvements and resolve production issues.

  • Following Safety Protocols: Adhering strictly to safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Use SOPS/MOPS/EOP's/MMRs as appropriate for site operations and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of critical mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a critical environment setting.

  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other stakeholders.

  • Safety Awareness: Commitment to safety protocols and procedures. Willingness to adjust hours as required by the business to include being onsite for extended hours during emergency situations such as hurricane
