In this position
An Incoming Quality Engineer (IQE) is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies received from suppliers meet the company's quality standards and technical specifications before they enter the production process.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for inspecting incoming parts from assigned batches.
  • Responsible for the verification/calibration, spot inspection and daily maintenance of the inspection equipment according to the SOP.
  • Strictly implement the laboratory safety operation and management system, responsible for the daily management and maintenance of laboratory 5S
    Organize and upload test results timely
  • Manage the non-conformance including quarantine, leading MRB review, coordinating sorting/rework/return
    Assist in the development, introduction, establishment and optimization of new test methods;
  • Responsible for calibration and gage R&R of the IQC lab Review and analyze supplier inspection reports/COA/COC
  • Initiate 8D, support root cause analysis and coordinate supplier corrective actions (SCAR) with SQE.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineer to review 8D report and verify improved results
  • Troubleshoot measurement correlations between the supplier's equipment and internal equipment.
  • Train and lead the team of Hourly Team Members within the IQC Lab.


Candidates must possess full flexibility and a readiness to consistently work across all established standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules, encompassing day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

You'll have

  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of SPC, Minitab,
  • Fluent in MS-office (Excel)

Even better, you may have

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering or related technical field)
  • Experience: 3-5 years automotive experience
  • Knowledge of chemical or mechanical lab testing such as: CMM, OMM, Tensile, Elongation, Viscosity
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Quality experience
  • If applicants have Li-ion battery process and product knowledge or experience, it will be strongly preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T
  • Fluent in SAP, MES, QMS, Power BI
  • 8D, 5Why, Fishbone, PFMEA, Control Plan
  • Sampling plan, Gage R&R

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
