Job Description Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide service, reactive, emergency and preventive, to the X-ray, Vascular, Cardiac, CT, MRI, Nuclear, Ultrasound, and Mammography equipment located at OhioHealth locations.

Responsibilities And Duties:

30%
Must process the skills necessary to evaluate a problem with a piece of imaging equipment and make the decision to service the unit themselves or call the appropriate service vendor to complete the repair.

Must have the required theoretical knowledge in radiology equipment testing, calibration, and repair to effectively service our customer's needs.
20%
Must process effective written and verbal communication skills.
10%
Must be able to maintain a poised, professional, articulate image with both the internal and external customers.
10%
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of Health & Human Services and Department Radiation Health, State of Ohio Department of Health and Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations regarding radiological services, applicable codes, and standards.

Associate's Degree (Required)

Additional Job Description:

  • Degree in Electronics-Electrical / Military Electronics
  • Field of Study: Electronics Engineering
  • Years of experience: 4 years of Healthcare Imaging Equipment service either in-house or with an OEM provider


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

An A.A. or A.S. degree (or equivalent) in Electronics from a two-year college or technical school is required. Alternatively, candidates may qualify with four years of related experience and/or training or a combination of both. Military training in electronics is acceptable.

Preferred candidates will have experience with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the X-ray/imaging industry. Proficiency in using personal computers is essential, and familiarity with computer networks will enhance effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of DICOM standards is also preferred.
