Fairmount Homes located on a beautiful 50+ acre campus in rural Ephrata, PA and is looking for a hands-on, dependable Grounds Supervisor to lead our dedicated grounds team in maintaining the beauty and safety of our retirement community.

Grounds Supervisor hours: 40 hours/week; 8 hours/day; typically 9am to 5pm

Ground Supervisor Summary and Purpose: This position is responsible for supervising and training the grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities including trimming and thinning of trees and bushes, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas. Responsible for trash and snow removal. Relates coordinatively with the other auxiliary departments in the retirement community.

Grounds Supervisor Employment Qualifications:

• Must have landscaping, maintenance and cleaning knowledge.
• Must be familiar with hardscaping, mowing and maintenance.
• Must be willing to perform on-call duties.
• Must support the mission and values of Fairmount.

Grounds Supervisor: Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for maintaining grounds, keeping premises neat and clean.
2. Responsible for mowing, weeding, raking, watering and trimming lawn and shrubs.
3. Responsible for trash disposal duties, as assigned by the Environmental Services Director.
4. Responsible for maintaining all hand and power equipment used in grounds maintenance.
5. Available for assistance with any emergency calls.
6. Suggests improvements for safety or efficiency in operation.
