Global Engineering Director

The Global Engineering Director will provide leadership and expertise in managing the programmatic aspects of hard services engineering operations, including client service, employee management and development, as well as financial and operational oversight. They will be responsible for establishing engineering service strategies, ensuring licensed and qualified support in various disciplines, maintaining documentation, and delivering services within agreed service levels. The Director will act as a liaison for the client, overseeing portfolio-wide client relationships, implementing services, and managing resources in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of client hard services operations/engineering services, ensuring contract compliance and meeting performance specifications.
  • Implement consistent hard services programs across the portfolio.
  • Achieve fixed, variable, and incentive compensation tied to programmatic SLAs and KPIs.
  • Analyze regional metrics to ensure portfolio is managed within goal parameters.
  • Measure and report cost savings and value-add contributions.
  • Provide input and support for strategic planning initiatives.
  • Represent the account at the portfolio level and foster client relationships.
  • Address equipment failures through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and updated system support tools.
  • Support training and adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Manage expenses, minimize risk, and ensure uptime integrity.
  • Facilitate communications between team and customer contacts.
  • Coordinate and complete audits.
  • Provide tactical operational engineering support in various disciplines.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of operational experience in a service environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strategic thinker and planner.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proficiency in critical systems and software.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial facility operations.
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in matrix management organizations is desirable.
  • Proven record of excellent customer service.
  • Experience in global, national, and regional contexts is preferred.
