FM Research Physical Systems Resilience and Reliability Summer 2026 Internship or Co-op - Battery non-destructive testing
Join our team for a hands-on summer internship or summer/fall co-op focused on advancing next generation diagnostic techniques for Li ion cells and battery packs. This role is ideal for a graduate-level electrical engineering student excited about applying theory to real systems, building test setups, analyzing complex data, and contributing to cutting-edge research in battery health monitoring. Expected time frame is: 3-month Internship and/or 6-month Co-op. This is a full time, onsite role located in Norwood, MA.
Internship Objective
You will support a series of cell and pack cycling tests and evaluate the effectiveness of nondestructive diagnostic methods such as pulse testing and Rapid-EIS (Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy). This internship offers deep exposure to electrical engineering principles, data analysis, and experimental lab work while working directly with advanced battery cyclers and modeling tools.
