Fleet Support Engineer

Our client, a leader in transportation and autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting vehicle operations and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, collaboration, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $83/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for real-time escalations regarding chassis systems such as brakes, steering, suspension, and control issues.
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis to implement both interim and permanent corrective actions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to ride quality, vehicle stability, and suspension performance.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive troubleshooting guides for chassis components to empower field technicians and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Analyze large datasets to proactively identify systematic issues and recommend preventative actions.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicles, with a focus on chassis, safety-control systems, or ADAS.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with chassis systems, including suspension, steering, and braking.
• Proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, harness diagrams, and state machine diagrams.
• Experience with debugging Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) issues and firmware validation methodologies.
