Position Overview
The Financial Planner is responsible for working with Multnomah Group's clients to provide ongoing employee education, point-in-time financial planning, and investment advice to retirement program participants.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide employee education presentations to employer-sponsored retirement plan clients
- Coordinate scheduling and follow-up with employer-sponsored retirement plan clients
- Develop presentations on relevant financial planning topics
- Travel to clients to provide an on-site presentation
- Track engagement at meetings and document within internal systems
Manage the ongoing participant education webinar series "Retirement Pathways"
- Develop presentations on relevant financial planning topics
- Schedule twice monthly webinars on a rotating set of financial and retirement planning topics
- Develop and distribute invitations to clients for the upcoming webinars
- Present the webinars on a twice-monthly basis
Meet with participants one-on-one via video conference to provide point-in-time retirement planning and investment advice
- Coordinate the workflow to schedule one-on-one meetings with participants
- Meet with participants to answer their general investment and financial planning questions.
- Determine whether the participants' needs or desires to have formalized retirement projections or financial planning completed
- Gather data and prepare the retirement projections and/or financial plans
- Advise participants on appropriate investment allocations for their retirement plan account
- Log all participant interactions in the firm's CRM
- Follow up with participants that you have met with previously to update their financial plan
Manage the various constituents involved in Multnomah Group's Participant Services offering
- Work with plan sponsor clients to communicate best practices regarding the rollout and ongoing support of participant advice services
- Provide periodic reporting and status updates to plan sponsor clients on the utilization and engagement of employee populations in the various services offered by Multnomah Group
- Engage and support Multnomah Group consultants regarding rollout and utilization of participant services by shared clients
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning topics as demonstrated by achieving the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
- FINRA Series 65
- 3+ years of financial planning experience
- Travel required
- Highly responsive and client service-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally with clients
- Strong interpersonal aptitude
- Experience with financial planning software
