Facilities Technician

Position Summary:

The Facilities / Property Technician is responsible for overseeing all company properties and facility functions including but not limited to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Life Safety/ Fire Alarm Systems, environmental, and custodial, and grounds.


Responsibilities:

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near-misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value - Safety first, in everything we do.
  • Manages all vendors related to the maintenance of the company facilities including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and custodial while maintaining accurate records of all repairs.
  • Manages the facility activities which include preventive maintenance programs, facility infrastructure maintenance, sanitation, housekeeping, landscape and utilities
  • Manage operation of 400,00kW ground mount solar facility. Composes annual financial report.
  • Manages building construction projects and renovations, as needed
  • Ensure properties meet building code requirements and are safe for all team members
  • Works with manager to report problems, solutions, and costs associated. Provides a weekly status update on any pending project
  • Monitor and ensure that work orders for company owned buildings are completed in a timely manner and to a high level of quality.
  • Influences, develops and controls budget, costs and vendors by planning, scheduling and implementing processes
  • Delegates work assignments to Facilities Supervisor as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison to public utility, environmental, municipal, and with Local/State Officials on permit for Company owned buildings and real estate.
  • Participates in the selection of contract services, vendor negotiation of service agreements and day-today monitoring of vendor performance to ensure full compliance with standards established within the service agreement
  • Maintain all permits related to company owned buildings and real estate.
  • Respond to site emergencies as needed.
  • Sub-Tenant lease management and negotiation.
  • Remain connected during Off-Hours.
  • Analyze current maintenance and operational procedures and make recommendations as necessary that ensure high level of efficiency.
  • Regularly inspect buildings and properties to ensure safe, attractive work environment.
  • Manage and follow through on execution of sub-contracted services and projects.


Position Requirements

  • 3-5 Years Facility/ Property Management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or related field highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Standards, local and state buildings codes, NFPA. Ability to read buildings plans not limited to M.E.P. site plans and architectural drawings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proven interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Proficiency with computer applications using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 25% travel time
