Facilities Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper upkeep, safety, and functionality of the organization's buildings, equipment, and grounds. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on various systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements of the facility.
Address unexpected breakdowns and perform repairs on equipment and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
Participate in the creation of emergency response plans and be on-call for urgent maintenance issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on the facility.
Work closely with the Facility Maintenance Manager and other team members to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Relevant certifications such as HVAC, OSHA, or electrical licenses preferred.
Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is required.
Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and report on maintenance activities.
Physical Requirements:
May require weekend or extended hours depending on project deadlines.
Physical work with potential exposure to dust, loud noise, and heavy equipment.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
