Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Advanced Composites Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing's Fighter Programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies, and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
  • Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
  • Participates in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with model based engineering tools development and/or integration
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
  • Experience creating manufacturing plans for machined details and assemblies
  • Experience in CAD systems (CATIA/UG)
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP implementations
  • ABET Accredited Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Summary Pay Range: USD $90,100 - $121,900
