Engineering Technician I

Job Purpose
Perform instrumented testing using established procedures to verify machine and component performance against product specifications.

Key Responsibilities
??? Set up tests, including fixtures, part modifications, required instrumentation, and overall configuration
??? Execute tests using computer-controlled systems as well as mechanical control systems
??? Collect and record data using both digital and analog measurement systems
??? Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to communicate test progress, issues, and results
??? Perform test teardown, cleanup, and equipment reset following completion

Required Qualifications
??? High school diploma or equivalent
??? Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
??? Strong mechanical aptitude, including experience with power tools and metalworking equipment
??? Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
??? Effective verbal and written communication skills
??? Basic mechanical systems
??? Ability to work independently with general guidance from management and team members
??? Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (What Sets You Apart)
??? Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience
??? Working knowledge of refrigeration systems and components
??? Basic understanding of heat transfer
??? Basic understanding of electrical systems and PLC programming
