Engineering Technician

Our client, an innovative leader in automotive research and development, is seeking a Engineer Technician 2 to join their dynamic team. As an Engineer Technician 2, you will be part of the Research & Development department supporting vehicle testing and engineering activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical independence, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Engineer Technician 2

Location: Irvine, California (Remote work options available)

Pay Range: DOE

What's the Job?

  • Support vehicle development activities by preparing and configuring test vehicles
  • Assist engineers with vehicle testing and minor modifications
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and fabrication tasks as needed
  • Maintain and care for test equipment and tools to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse engineering teams to meet project goals

What's Needed?

  • Hands-on experience with automotive mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of automotive electrical systems
  • Experience with light fabrication and use of shop tools
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced research and development environment
