Perform or assist with engineering tasks to develop, design and direct reconstruction, preservation or maintenance projects to completion. Independently make technical decisions and direct the work of other staff on specific projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the public, county employees, County, State and Federal agency officials, contractors and utility representatives required. Experience with computer-aided drafting/design (CAD), Civil 3D workflows, and related engineering software required.
Civil Engineering Technology Degree or related degree with considerable experience in highway design, construction, and surveying. Proficiency in drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D for design and plan preparation is preferred. Ability to obtain necessary MnDOT certification in Aggregate Production, Grading and Base, Concrete, Bituminous, and Erosion Control
Operation of personal computer for researching, entering data, geometric highway drafting and design and entering time records.
Compensation details: 28.41-38.19 Hourly Wage
