Position: Engineering Technician
Location: On-site - Hillsboro, ORWho We Are
AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.

About The Role
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience or combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to follow detailed directions
- Basic ability to organize and perform tests on systems or products with a high level of direction
- Beginner level ability to record detailed observations and maintain records.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment, measurement devices, mechanical alignment and instrumentation.
- Basic ability to communicate in technical terms for the status of tasks, testing, equipment, issues, risks and reporting to Engineering or Management.
- Able to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal) with all relevant stakeholders in various departments including maintenance, operations, engineering, etc.
- Able to work independently and safely in a manufacturing environment and perform assigned duties in accordance with all safety and environmental requirements.
- Able to communicate technical results and actions to operations team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Physical ability to perform the essential job functions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in engineering technology or an Engineering Technician Certification.
- Experience with the statistical analysis of test data using Excel or other statistical software.
- Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD modeling.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and how it pertains to a component or assembly.
- Ability to take initiative to investigate root cause of deviations or non-compliance.
- Able to perform work on assigned tasks with some level of independence and self-direction and able to discern when additional support is needed.
- Prior experience with GR&R testing and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Able to modify and make use of systems and equipment in support of the engineering team.
- Supports the installation of new systems or equipment.
- Verifies the maintenance of installed systems and equipment.
- Able to understand blueprints and schematics to correctly install a system of pieces of equipment.
- Able to update methods of tests under the guidance of engineers.
- Able to effectively document engineering systems for engineers or management under the guidance of engineers.
- Monitor system statistical process control (SPC) output, with emphasis on returning to control parameters, creating response flow checklist (RFC) as needed for repeat occurrences.
- Able to investigate root cause of deviations for conformance.
- Able to measure items using a wide variety of measurement tools consistently and reliably such as hand tools, programmed tools, and scanner systems.
- Perform or oversee gage repeatability and reproducibility (GRR) tests and qualifications.
Compensation details: 24.51-30.02 Hourly Wage
