Engineering Services Technician

Job Requirements

  • Have knowledge of reverse osmosis units, Electro-deionization, Vapor Compression Stills, clean steam generators, water softeners, filters, steam and cold glycol heat exchanging systems. Understand and the ability to perform maintenance from written procedures in a GMP environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Have basic knowledge and use of hand tools.
  • Have experience with automated control systems.
  • Have experience with boilers, air compressors, air dyers, and their associated steam delivery systems along with the automation controls that drive them.
  • This position has a 'floating' work schedule, which will fluctuate on weekly basis subject to JLL's operational needs and/or staffing deficiencies. You will be expected to work rotating shifts, varying start times, and/or different designated days of rest.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Have knowledge of the basic PC skills along with common applications associated with interoffice communication.
  • Have working knowledge of PLCs, HMI interfaces and other automated devices.
  • Experience in oral and written communications in a concise and timely manner.

Work Environment

  • Work in GMP environments.
  • Safety first mind set.
  • Work with hazardous materials and chemicals.
  • Wear various PPE when necessary, per SOP's and JHA's
  • Work alternative shifts that could include graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays.
  • Work overtime when necessary and work varying shifts, including on-call program.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights to perform job functions as needed.
  • Crawl, kneel and stoop and work in small spaces.

Education / Experience

  • High School Graduate
  • 3+ years general maintenance experience
  • Previous GMP environment experience
  • Have working knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • 3-5 years of Industrial Water Treatment and Purification preferred.
  • Electrical, PLC, and/or plumbing experience preferred.
  • Boiler operator certificate
  • Wastewater certificate
