Engineer Technician I (Dallas, NC)

JOB DESCRIPTION: This job family is responsible for providing support to engineers on technical projects and/or products. Collects maintains organizes compiles and manipulates technical data. May create build assemble modify and/or repair prototypes. Prepares engineering documentation reports drawings sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics etc Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications. Undertakes analyses of data where guidelines are provided. Recommends alternative solutions to problems and obstacles. May set-up and conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering analysis. It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee. SCOPE: This is an entry level position where incumbents are learning job skills and becoming familiar with company policies to complete assignments. Incumbents have minimal understanding of technical aspects of job. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. IMPACT: Contributions are usually limited to assignment related activities. Decisions and achievements may have direct effect on project schedule. LIAISON: Interacts daily with supervisors and/or functional peer groups. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information. FREEDOM TO ACT: Under close supervision the individual performs the routine aspects of scientific and engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic scientific and engineering principles. LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: This is the entry level position in the job family where the employee applies the basic fundamental concepts practices and procedures to acquire the knowledge and experience to become proficient in the job. TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent entry level.

Actively seeking a Field Technician. As a part of this work, you'll be coordinating with permit agencies, right-of-way specialists, system owners, field leaders, forestry leaders, and 3rd party owners for joint-owned poles. Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes. Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met. Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design. Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work, and collect field data that will assist in the development of electrical design work packages

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
