Elevator Technician - Exciting Career Growth Opportunity Lifeway Mobility is a fast-growing accessibility solutions company, dedicated to improving mobility and independence for individuals and businesses. We provide high-quality ramps, stairlifts, wheelchair lifts, transfer aids, and bath safety solutions across 12 states-and we're continuing to expand.
We are seeking a skilled Elevator Technician to join our team. What You'll Do: - Install and repair elevators and platform lifts for residential and commercial clients.
- Provide clear explanations to customers and answer their questions.
- Accurately enter work orders and inventory data into our system.
- Receive paid manufacturer training and on-the-job training to enhance your expertise.
- Start your day at our Arlington Heights location to load and pick up equipment.
- Work on a variety of projects, ranging from single-day jobs to multi-day installations.
- Weekend work is optional.
What We're Looking For: - Experience preferred in installing and servicing residential elevators, thru-the-floor lifts, or commercial Vertical Platform Lifts.
- We are willing to train the right candidate with a background in HVAC, mechanical work, or related fields.
- Experience with mechanical/electrical equipment installation.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills for logging work orders.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background screening.
- Flexibility to drive to client sites and adjust hours as needed to complete jobs.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift 75+ lbs.
- Frequent overhead work, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors year-round.
