Responsibilities
An Electronic Technician 1 will be responsible for maintaining PacifiCorp Communication systems; including but not limited to voice and data communication systems, telephone systems, PBX's,DCS, analog and digital microwave radio systems, land mobile radio systems, SCADA systems, power line carrier equipment, chart recorders, telemetry, tone relaying, fiber optics/lightwave, and associated switching and termination equipment. The Electronic Technician will also be responsible for installing, testing and certifying any or all of the above listed equipment. Off-road travel in extreme weather conditions may be required. The successful candidate will usually work on independent work assignments, but may be assigned to work with other company personnel as needed. This person may be assigned to direct the work of an Electronic Technician Assistant. The Electronic Technician is responsible for vehicles, tools and materials supplied by the Company for use in this position.
