We are an industry-leading manufacturer seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Electro Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity for a motivated individual with excellent technical skills and a strong background in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our advanced manufacturing equipment and systems. You will be a key player in our mission to deliver top-quality products to our customers while ensuring the efficiency and smooth operation of our production lines.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Electro Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
2. Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in our production machinery.
3. Using PLC systems to troubleshoot and maintain automated equipment.
4. Welding and using power and hand tools to repair or replace damaged parts.
5. Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
6. Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
7. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting changes to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
8. Documenting and maintaining records of all maintenance and repair work done.
9. Training and guiding junior technicians and operators on equipment maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. 5+ years of experience in a maintenance technician role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with welding, power tools, hand tools, and PLC systems.
3. A strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
5. A strong commitment to safety and compliance with all safety regulations.
6. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
7. The ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
8. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and machinery parts.
9. A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship is preferred.
