The Electrical Wiring Technician will be primary responsible for wiring and assembly of specifically electrical equipment such as power distribution units (PDUs) and various low-voltage electrical components. This role is responsible for the precise assembly, wiring, and integration of components used in power control and distribution systems, with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance with engineering standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Assemble and wire electrical power distribution units (PDUs), control boxes, and low-voltage components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layout drawings for proper installation and routing of wires and components. Strip, crimp, route, and terminate wires using hand tools, crimping devices, and automated equipment, ensuring proper wire gauge and connector selection. Perform point-to-point wiring and termination of relays, circuit breakers, terminal blocks, contactors, fuses, and switches within assemblies. Ensure correct grounding, labeling, and bundling of wires and cables per company and industry standards. Conduct in-process and final visual inspections to ensure build quality, electrical integrity, and compliance with low-voltage assembly standards. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, Associate degree or equivalent required; technical school training or certification in electronics/electrical assembly is a plus. 3-5 years of experience assembling and wiring electrical power distribution units or low-voltage electrical assemblies. Strong understanding of low-voltage circuits, grounding practices, and current ratings of components. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics with minimal supervision. Skilled in using wire strippers, crimpers, torque drivers, soldering tools, and other industry-standard tools. Knowledge of UL, NEC, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards preferred.
