Electrical Lead Foreman - Commercial Construction

Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Project: Phoenix VA Medical Center Expansion/Renovation Project
Pay Rate: $45-$48 per hour (DOE)
Start Date: Immediate
Priority Hire: Must be identified and onboarded before July 10

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Foreman to oversee electrical operations on a large-scale commercial construction project at the Phoenix VA Hospital campus. This individual will provide field leadership, coordinate crews, maintain project schedules, and ensure all electrical installations meet quality, safety, and code requirements.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive commercial construction experience, strong organizational skills, and a proven track record managing electricians on healthcare, government, institutional, or large commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate daily activities with project management, general contractors, and other trades.
  • Plan manpower, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet project schedules.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and electrical drawings.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Monitor productivity, workmanship quality, and project progress.
  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays.
  • Manage material requests, deliveries, and inventory.
  • Train, mentor, and develop apprentice and journeyman electricians.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years of commercial electrical construction experience.
  • 3+ years in a Foreman or Lead Foreman role.
  • Experience managing crews of 10-30+ electricians.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and installations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to pass project-specific background requirements.

Preferred

  • Healthcare, government, military, or VA facility project experience.
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or institutional projects valued at $5M+.
  • Knowledge of scheduling and project coordination software.
