Electrical Estimator- ISD

Compu Dynamics sits in the heart of one of the fastest growing data center markets in the country and is a recognized leader in that business. We are excited to be growing and have an immediate need for an Electrical Estimator in Northern Virginia.

Essential Functions:

1. Travels and attend pre-bid and post-bid meetings as needed
2. Organizes Electronic Files
3. Communicates any missing information or deficiencies to our clients to ensure that we have all information that was intendent and required to complete accurate cost proposal.
4. Determines total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction.
5. Research construction documents and analyzes specifications.
6. Reviews RFPs/Design Docs and prepares RFIs as needed.
7. Coordinates scope requirements with subcontractors and vendors.
8. Prepares estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
9. Manges pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions
10. Prepares estimates to meet project goals.
11. Creates the project BOM (Bill of Materials) for the estimate and submits for pricing.
12. Ensures that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
13. Notes all assumptions, clarifications and exclusions for incorporation into proposal.
14. Attends bid review meetings and be fully prepared to discuss the details of your portion of the scope.
15. Regularly reports to Management and keeps clients updated on the project status.
16. Formulates contingency plans and effectively manages risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
17. Collaborates with other teams and conducts site visits.
18. Assists with project management tasks as needed.
19. Maintains an elevated level of professionalism with clients, vendors, and colleagues; works to establish a positive working relationship.
20. Provides timely and completed documentation of work performed.
21. Attends weekly preconstruction meetings with entire team.
22. Operates vehicles and other equipment safely; adheres to safety protocols; reports hazards and risks; behavior contributes to a safe and secure working environment.

Required Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree and/or equivalent education and experience.
2. 7+ years of Estimating experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Applied Science or Architecture field.
2. 7+ years of Electrical/Mechanical Estimating Experience.

Compu Dynamics Pay Range $120,000 - $140,000 USD
