The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Responsibilities
Perform engineering tasks in support of the Communication and Tracking (C/T) engineering group.
Conduct system tests (software and hardware), collect and analyze data on equipment performance. Troubleshoot equipment/system anomalies.
Initial assignments will focus on development of Radio Frequency Telemetry used during ground processing and vehicle launch throughout the full development cycle including requirements development, testing, and operational use.
Candidates will be required to apply knowledge of technical principles, vehicle processing operations concepts, ground to vehicle interfaces, and vehicle/ground system design and operation. Additional responsibilities in system training, vehicle processing, and launch certification will follow.
Candidate will perform engineering work in preparation for assembly, test, processing, and launch of NASA's Space Launch System in support of the Artemis program.
Candidate will be expected to accomplish testing & operations independently (software and hardware testing), and act as Task Team Leader for assignments involving C/T.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications
BS in Engineering (Electrical / Software/ Aerospace preferred) or technical equivalent from an accredited engineering school.
Aircraft / Spacecraft / Launch Vehicle processing background a plus.Physical Requirements
