The Role: The Distribution Associate will have a keen eye for details and an ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Should be willing to learn a variety of tasks and be available to work overtime and weekends during the holiday season from November through December.
Responsibilities:
- Count, weigh and perform quality control on received goods
- Pull customer merchandise tags when order requires
- Tag, bag, box and label customers' orders
- Assist in receipt of merchandise and process invoices
- Quality control of individual pieces of jewelry
- Accurately ensure the movement of product within the building is tracked in SAP
- Scan barcodes and manually enter product data into SAP
- Aim to provide great customer service by fulfilling orders that require special handling or additional oversight
- Collaborate with department leadership and team to execute workload plan, adjusting as needed
- Receipt and review of Purchase Orders from Customers and Sales Reps
- Review POs and make necessary adjustments before invoicing
- Communicate with other distribution staff, customer support and sales staff as needed via email and phone for any order related questions/issues
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and at least 4+ yrs. office experience
- Proven computer skills with Microsoft Outlook (Excel a plus) AND solid basic math skills
- Experience with a Warehouse Management System/Order Management or SAP a plus
- Ability to remain focused in a potentially distracting, open work environment
- Ability to multitask high priority tasks/projects
- Able to manage daily processing quotas in a high accountability work environment
- Physically be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds; walk upstairs, stand/sit/walk short distances for duration of shift
- Can see small fine parts and have the manual dexterity for working with same
- An eye for detail and the ability to identify inferior products
